We undertook the project as design & build contract for the client which included working with 3D drawings to co-ordinate the installation with the specialist process installation company.
The main focus of the project was the creation of a clean room environment located in the centre of a building. This was served by an independent AHU with ductwork rising up to the building apex and dropping within the complex 1st floor layout and serves the clean room totally independent from anywhere else in the building. The AHU was installed with a dedicated steam to water plate heat exchanger which provided the LTHW heating to the unit. The chilled water for the unit was provided by connecting the services to the process chilled water secondary network. The other areas of the building were served by a VRF system. New WC facilities and canteen facility was created within the building. Independent heating and humidity units were installed to various rooms depending on their requirements. The building was controlled via a new building management system which integrated all the different systems to be controlled from a single control room.
Also, specific areas were served with ATEX certified ventilation and heating systems. We commissioned the systems to achieve the design parameters required by the client. The clean room area was commissioned to ISO 8 standard.#
